Hi, I am Adz Zafe. I am 24 and I work in a so-so corporate job that pays me pretty well. I secretly want to get plugged into a cooler job but I guess I made wrong decisions in my previous life so WTH.
This, my friend, is my cocktail mix of the things I love and hate all at the same time. Daydreams and alcohol are my alpha level boosters. What’s yours?

Remember, love is sweeter the second time around.

VIRGIN SHUTTERS

Current Favorites

Have you felt like giving up lately? For the past weeks, I’ve been juggling work, school, my small business and other more interesting and/or annoying stuff like our Davao itinerary, public transportation system in Bacoor, Cavite and Globe’s poor customer service. And I have never felt so frustrated! Ahhh the same old routines can really be annoying sometimes. Ugh.

To cope with stress and take control, I usually turn to my favorite stuff that, most of the time, instantly makes me feel happier and grateful - a book, music or a cup of tea. These are the things I rely on to keep me sane:

1. Fave Drink: Teh Tarik Milk Tea. Yes, like you, I’m a fan of milk tea too. I like it more than a cup of coffee. Mooleaftea Shop, Serenitea and Gong Cha are some of my favorites. But because I’m cheap, I stopped splurging on a 100-peso cup of tea when I discovered this goodness that is Owl Teh Tarik Hand-pull Milk Tea. If I’m not mistaken, this piece of heaven is only available in Singapore. So, whenever I run out of stock, I turn to a cheaper alternative, Lipton Milk Tea. Heh. Too sweet, though. PS. Friends from Singapore, please send me a bag of Teh Tarik for the sake of our friendship. Thanks.

2. Fave Book: Rich Dad, Poor Dad. Only because I want to be filthy rich when I grow up. Hah! I have this plan in mind to retire at an early age, say 29 lulz, and I believe this book has all the answers to my questions. Seriously though, Rich Dad Poor Dad is an eye opener. It got me wondering about lots of stuff that are money-related. My favorite brain teaser: Poor dad says, “Love of money is the root of all evil”, but rich dad says, “The lack of money is the root of all evil.” What do you think?

3. Fave Album: Ceremonials by Florence + the Machine. FLORENCE WELCH IS THE BOMB. I practically listen to them all the time and it relaxes my heart and soul for real. They make rock music but it has churchy tune. How awesome is that? One time, I got stuck in traffic in our hometown because, I guess, our mayor got high the night before and decided to put up yellow barriers in one of the intersections, I just turned on my iPod and instantly looked for Ceremonials. Just so you know, we got suck there for 2 hours when, on normal days, it takes only 20 minutes. It was really a stupid move, Mayor. So I started tweeting our local government officers (who by the way are also in showbiz lulz) to tell them that they are all incompetent. It was a very challenging, blood-pressure rising commute to work and remembering all the hassles makes me want to punch someone in the face. Argh. Play Ceremonials, I need peace of mind!

4. Fave Blog: Pugly Pixel. This is one of my favorite blogs lately. It has everything I like and adore - from graphics and web designing ot photography, lomography and pop culture. The blogger is also kind enough to give away graphic goodies like wallpapers, fonts. Plus, tutorials! If you are looking for that inspiration you need to create your next artwork, visit Pugly Pixel. (I especially love the fonts she uses.)

5. Fave Font: Bebas. This is currently my default font for all my artworks. Of course I got this from Pugly Pixel. Fab fonts in there.

For just Php 700, I was able to score 7 adorable items some of which are class A ukays. The place is a big treasure box and you really have to dig from the piles of clothes. I actually find it easy to thrift shop in Cubao because most of the items are in good quality, however, they are relatively more expensive than my usual ukay hub. Eekk. But I will definitely go back!

This week’s thrifted item is a bold animal-print, chic mini skirt. This is my second time to find a animal-print skirt in thrift stores. I sold my first find in Project Rummage. This time, I am definitely keeping this for myself.

It fits me perfectly.

It’s silk by the way.

So, where do you thrift shop in Cubao? I’m a noob and I need some help.

PS. New collection of Project Rummage is up. I am not into buying shoes mainly because they are expensive and out of the budget (at least the ones that I like). And when I get the time (and moolah) to shop for shoes, I usually buy for practical colors even though my heart desires those in yummy colors of pin, blue and yellow. I am cheap and boring like that. Why do adorbs shoes have to be expensive? Even flip flops cost too much. Ugh.

If you have the same sentiments, then I would like to share with you my frugal find of the week. I was able to score these three simple footsies for only Php 500. Yeah.

I was strolling the mall with a good friend last night and we were both in search for the cheapest cute summer sandals for an upcoming getaway. Luckily, we found this brand, Solemate, in a local department store and we instantly got our hands on these lovely pairs of goodness. The price ranges from Php 150 to Php 400 only and it doesn’t hurt your feet. After trying about 20 pairs lulz, I finally bought three strappy comfortable sandals - perfect for strolling downtown!

I will let myself throw on a pair of this flattering orange sandals because it’s summerrr. I got this for only Php 150.

Another gem for only Php 150.

Another pair in basic color for only Php 199. My mother will surely be happy to know that I will never have to borrow her black sandals again lol. (Fun fact: My mother, two younger sisters and I have the same shoe size.)

I’m planning to buy more next payday because they have this silver studded sandals which is really pretty for only Php 399. Have you had any frugal find lately? Share! :)

TOW: Snow and Clouds

Just so you know, I am out at the moment and this is just a queued post. So, I’ll make this short and sweet. Heh. Here’s my thrifted item of the week:

Gotta love this tube top with pretty layering to the front and rear.

They look like snow and clouds to me.

By the way, I included this top in my recent thrift collection in Project Rummage and it was sold right away!
Well, this is me giving Nuffnang and Zalora a resounding Yes! as an answer. When I learned about this My Zalora Wishlist contest, the first thing that came to my mind was my upcoming Davao trip in June. And the swimsuits and tank tops and shorts and bags and slippers and all the other summer essentials that it requires! With my busy schedule for work and school, I usually don’t have the time to visit shopping malls and run around the whole day to check all boutiques for possible purchases. Doing it online is definitely the best alternative which makes shopping experience more convenient (bye crowded malls and parking space problems). And when it comes to online shopping, believe me when I say that Zalora is at the top of the heap!

Zalora is like an online mall. Yes, a mall. It is your one-stop online store for all your fashion needs, offering wide selection of clothing for men, women and kids and putting almost all brands in just one website. Need I say more?

After debating with myself for more than a hundred times and browsing Zalora’s website for more than 10 hours, I finally came up with my wishlist that’s dedicated to my Davao trip:

1. I Love Koi Beaded Cleo Bandeau. Two-piece swimsuit. The top piece is adorned with beaded plastic straps locked into a bronze circlet in the middle of the bandeau and can be fastened via tying the laces at the back. The lower bikini piece is also fastened together on the sides by bronze circlets.

I imagine myself wearing this in Pearl Farm on our second day in Davao. A stellar swimwear for an equally stellar beach resort. Heh.

2. Naked Sun Farrah. This double-layered bandeau bikini top by Naked Sun features interconnected gold O-rings between the cups that accentuate your cleavage. The contrasting black and white polka dotted bottoms keep you looking tastefully edgy.

I can’t wait to wear this bright green bandeau while enjoying swimming at 50mm waterfall with cold clear water of Hagimit Falls. Refreshing! PS. Dibs on the model.

3. Stoked Inc. OG. Black boardshorts with white waistband and double tie fastening at the waist.

The boyfriend is coming with me so I’d like to give this to him. He likes it black and simple. PS. Dibs on the abs.

4. Havaianas Na Rua. Thong flip flops.

Again, this goes for the boyfriend so his feet can feel comfortable during the whole duration of our trip.

5. Museum Ronnie. Culottes in a soft denim fabric with pockets and silver stud buttons. Printed cotton sash/belt included.

Hey, you had me at those pretty playful silhouette and printed sash. Perfect for our city tour!

Three reasons why I love Zalora: (1) Item photos are in high-resolution and you can easily zoom in by just hovering your cursor over selected photo. Easy peasy. (2) Free shipping! Surprise! (3) Online window shopping at Zalora is eyegasmic.

This weekend, instead of going to the mall and experiencing parking space problems, traffic and irate shoppers that go with it, why don’t you just do your shopping at the comfort of your home? Visit Zalora now and subscribe to their newsletter so you can get an introductory gift of Php 250 voucher. Trust me, that pair of stiletto pumps you’ve been looking for is just one click away at Zalora!

Project Rummage: Take Back the City

Before anything else, I want to thank everyone who supported my previous thrift collection, Daybreak Dollhouse. I woke up to lots of online orders thru Facebook, text and email a day after I posted the photos. Items were almost sold out in just 24 hours. Here’s my love from me to you <3

Moreover, I am pleased to inform all of you that Project Rummage’s latest collection, Take Back the City, is up! I have a total of 16 new adorable items which include adorable tutu skirts and a couple of floral dresses. Here are the photos:

You know that moment when you are in a hurry then you get your container of earrings and you see them all tangled and lost that when you pick up a single pair, three others are fused to it or some pairs are missing? I admit, it stresses me out almost every morning. Ugh.

If you are experiencing the same scenario in every waking day of your life, then keep reading because I am about to share how I came up with an inexpensive way to store earrings and keep them organized and accessible always!

I used to store my earrings in this plastic container which I got from Japan Home Center. It’s a pretty useful container but I guess it will only work for someone who is responsible enough to return the items in their designated box properly. I am not that kind of person because I am sometimes too lazy to really sort them out that I always end up putting mismatched pairs scattered all over. And that leaves me with tangled and missing pairs of ear candies.

I figured it would be easier if I hang them instead of storing them inside plastic containers. If only I had those hanging earrings dislplay boards I see in the malls, my life would be more peaceful. But of course, they are too expensive for my taste so as an alternative, I used this thrifted satin tease top! Eeekk.

So I carefully hung my dangle, stud and hoop earrings and tada!

I know it’s not that stellar but it makes my life easier. The top is satin tease which makes hanging any type of earrings more convenient. Plus the top is big enough to accommodate additional pairs that I might purchase in the future. I hung it inside my closet so I can see them all at a glance and choose which pair to use while getting dressed. It saves a lot of time!

No more jewelry jumble. I hope this helped.

TOW: Hippie Camper

I would like to start a weekly entry on this blog starting today called Thrift of the Week (TOW). Basically, I just have to post photos of my favorite thrifted item of the week so I can brag about it loljk. And mainly because I am in dire need of blog posts. Meeh.

To start off, let me show you this top I purchased last week. I got 35 items in one day and this has got to be my favorite item. Look!

Truth be told, I am not that familiar with hippie clothing but my sister told me it hippie-ish so that gave me the idea for this blog post. In any case, I think the tr-color combination looks adorable.

I especially love the knotted beaded rope in the middle.

I am debating with myself if I should include this in my next thrift collection for Project Rummage next week. What do you think?

Ukay Okay

Here goes another Project Rummage blog post again. Sorry if I talk too much about my little online thrift store. It’s what’s keeping me happy and buys lately. (Well, work keeps me busy too, but not happy. Heh.)

Last Saturday, the boyfriend and I successfully ran a profitable rummage sale somewhere in Makati. If my memory serves me right, it was already our fifth time to hold a garage sale in that area. Fortunately, it’s always been a good turnout - we got to get rid of old stuff and make some money (last year, we were able to raise 8000+ in one day!). What a surefire way to make easy money especially if you need it fast (eg. pocket money for a Davao Trip next month).

If planned well, a rummage sale can bring you lots of good vibes and moolah. Let people know that you’re having a garage sale before D-day and word of mouth marketing will do the trick. Three days before our sale, I asked my father to distribute these fliers and posters at the marketplace near our area. It helped a lot.

This is how I setup my stuff. I noticed that people prefer looking through the clothes rack than sifting though big boxes with too many clothes. Too bad that we only have two racks at home. Heh. If you have no choice, use low shallow boxes so buyers can sift though the piled clothes easily. See that big balikbayan box labeled with 20 ALL ITEMS? No one bothered to look at them until I transferred the stuff to smaller boxes. I started with three boxes and left with only one. Yey!

One of the items on sale was this Negativitee shirt. We sold it for only Php 50. My younger sister used to wear this shirt. Hah!

And this striped polo shirt from Bench came from my brother’s closet. We only had few stuff for men and most of them were my brother’s. No one bought this idk why. Is 100 too expensive for this gem? It looks almost brand new.

Ice cream break with the boyfriend while buyers were nonexistent. Our usual peak hours are from 7am to 10am and 4pm to 6pm. What we do in between: watch TV, eat, cuddle loljk.

We had isaw too plus a bag of Ruffles in the afternoon. Bring lots of water!

By 4pm, we transferred to the market place because there are more people there in the afternoon. The is one of the advantages of using clothes rack than boxes. You can move your stuff from one place to another in no time.

The boyfried is better than me at sales talk. For realz.

Next time, I will have “no reservations” policy. Last Saturday, I encountered this lady who asked me to reserve 60 items for her. She told me that she would be back in the afternoon to pay for the items. I waited for her but as I suspected, she never came back. I could have sold them to someone else. Ugh.

If you are planning to hold a garage sale someday, here’s what I have to tell you:

Let the people know about it. Abuse the social media. Let them read the printed word.

Make signs and make them eye catching. Use colorful labels.

Put price tags unless you want people to ask you “Teh, magkano ‘to?” a hundred times.

Use clothes rack instead of boxes. Make it easier for the shoppers.

Bring lots of food and water. Bring something that will entertain you for the rest of the day.

Smile. Be proud of your stuff.

No reservations. Nah-uh.

Ask some friends for help. The more the merrier.

Promise yourself a reward for being resourceful and hardwroking. Hah!

We are planning to hold another garage sale on May 19 and the boyfriend will bring some of his stuff. I am thinking of adding old magazines and books, too. Drop by, okay?

See you!

Project Rummage: Daybreak Dollhouse

If there is one thing that I truly enjoy doing, it’s working on this little thrift store of mine called Project Rummage. The tasks that I need to complete each and every time to keep this business alive are: (1) do thrift shopping, (2) take photos and (3) spend lots of time on Facebook; which are obviously my favorite activities of all time. Heh. If, someday, Project Rummage turns as profitable as my current work, I’d quit my job in a heartbeat and focus my heart and soul on this little project of mine. That’s the plan.

Last night, I stayed up until 3am to work on Project Rummage’s first collection for the month of May. We have 21 items in total, mostly in floral patterns and bold colors. I changed my layout from square photos to Polyvore-inspired collage and I think it looks better. Here are some of the items that are on sale:

I wish to keep this dress for myself but it’s too small. Ugh.

This floral dress in silk is from Bayo. It still has tag price so it’s brand new! This looks perfect for you corporate chicks out there. :)

I wore this last New Year’s Eve. Hah.

Who can resist a pair of shorts in yummy colors?

This one is my favorite.

Gotta love this black-white-red comb,o too. Red pair of shorts looks hot.

Back to basics with striped shirts in black and white.

And to keep it fresh and light, wear white.

You might want to check the complete collection here. We still have lots of available items so please be my friend and buy my stuff. Share, reblog or whatever it is you want to do.
Hey how is it going guys?

It’s been a truly awesome weekend for me because (1) Project Rummage’s Ukay Okay last Saturday was a success. I was able to raise enough funds to cover maybe the hotel accommodation and food for my upcoming Davao trip in June. I’m planning to hold another garage sale on the 19th; (2) It was our last class meeting earlier and I regret attending the class. I just killed time reading travel blogs which I can do at the comfort of my home. Anyway, my classmates and I celebrated by indulging ourselves with Razon’s halo-halo; (3) I watched Andi Eigenmann on the Buzz and I was moved. Heh.

Anyway, I am here to answer your questions (and post hair photos because I love it).

One.

It’s Redux. But I customized it so I can put a header image.

Two.

Thank you. I’m happy that our love inspires you. And about your question, why do you guys want to know? I get this all the time. Errr I can’t tell you. :)

Three.

Sure! Like this. :)

Four

I am kind of surprise to get this kind of compliment because I’m lazy about washing my face. So, thank you. Believe it or not, I use Likas Papaya Herbal Soap to wash my face daily. If there’s no papaya soap, I just use any other soap. Whatever’s available. To moisturize, I use Myra-E VitaWhite Whitening Face Lotion because it’s non-greasy and cheap. That’s it. If I’m feeling lazy, I just brush my teeth, splash water on my face and go to sleep. Heh.

Well, sex is the highest form of expression of love so I think there is nothing wrong if you really love the person and you are really sure about him/her. BUT PLEASE DON’T MISTAKE LOVE FOR LUST. AND BOYS, DON’T DISGUISE YOUR LUST AS LOVE. I do not condone promiscuity or casual sex. And please, finish your studies first and leave sex to the adults.

As promised, here’s another set of hair photos. Curls still look good after a week.

Drop me a question if you must. Bye!

Project Rummage: Ukay Okay

Surprise!

This is a bit late but just so you know, I am holding a garage sale tomorrow from 0700 am to 0600 pm (yes, I have to work my ass off for 11 hours on a Saturday) in Makati near Makati Coliseum. I spent the night sorting out my clothes, folding them and putting labels and price tags. That’s Friday night for me. Meeehh.

So here’s what you have to do: drop by, rummage through my clothes, buy and make me rich. This beautiful blue skirt could be yours for only Php 150.

Lastly, if you are feeling lazy to go out, bookmark Project Rummage on Facebook. New thrift collection will be out on Sunday at around 0700pm. Yeah.

Ukaytnxbuy.

PS. All proceeds will go to uhm err myself? Hah!

Goldilocks

I finally gave digital perm a shot.

For years, I have been tempted to try digital perm, but I decided to wait a little longer and get natural curls from braid and bun as alternatives. I guess my dream hair is what almost everyone is wishing for - waist-length, lots of waves and big loose curls. I waited for three long years and put off getting a haircut to get the desired length of hair. And last Sunday, off I went to Tony and Jackey for the big day.

Currently, Tony & Jackey has this promo that offers digital perm for only Php 3000. Perfect, because that leaves me with extra money for new hair color. However, after the stylist washed and checked my hair, I discovered three sad truths:

1. Bottom part of my waist-length hair has become so dry and brittle mainly because I underwent too much rebonding, hair color and bleaching last year.

2. The stylist had to chop off half of my hair (the dry, brittle part). The dream of long curly hair, GONE!

3. The medicine that is used for the Php 3000 promo will not work on my hair as advised by the stylist. Hence, I was advised to use L’Oreal instead which cost me a total of Php 6500. Hooray. (Rate is inclusive of rebond for the top part of hair and digi perm for the bottom part.)

I had no choice but to accept the truth, get it over and done with, and pray to Goldilocks that end result will look just fine.

First, they chop off my hair to shoulder length. This was a bit heartbreaking.

After the haircut, they rebonded the top half and permed the bottom half. The digital perm machine reminds me of Transformers. Right, I feel like Megan Fox here. Lol just kidding.

The whole process lasted for two hours. I didn’t notice the time though, as the assistant was kind enough to offer magazines, massage, coffee, water and candy.

End result: medium-length, medium curls. Err.

Curls are not too tight anymore after a day. The truth is I’m a bit worried that it might go back to it original state after a week. Anyway, I like the curls but I wish my hair was longer. Hmm.

I feel like I’m attending a highschool JS Prom every single day. Thoughts?

Labor Day Pains

It’s a lovely Tuesday morning because (1) I don’t have to go to work and answer emails and stupid phone calls (2) I have the whole day for myself and (3) there’s a bag of Ruffles and a big box of Chunky Chips Ahoy sitting on my desk right now. I have lots of important stuff to do today (Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr not included) and I am giddy excited to accomplish them all. God, just give me enough strength to stay away from distractions please (Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr included).

More important stuff than Facebook that I need to accomplish within the day:

Laundry. Yes, laundry. Just so you know, our househelp left us three weeks ago and since then, I just let the dirty clothes pile up inside my room. I woke up this morning with a mission to clean the mess that I created. I’m almost done and I only have a few more left. Thanks to whoever invented washing machine for letting me do the laundry why I blog. I always get that sense of fulfillment after doing the laundry and seeing my dirty clothes hamper empty. I never got this goody good feeling at work after finishing a paperwork, answering emails, phone calls or whatever. There is something wrong, right? But that’s another story. in the meantime, I’ll let my heart and soul enjoy the laundry.

Homework. Guess what? Today is our deadliest deadline for incomplete school homework in Adobe InDesign. Upon checking, I realized that I have more than 10 pending artworks to finish today: logo, business card, company ID, brochure, flyer, catalogue, menu, calendar, book, newsletter, magazine and a lot more. I’m unsure if I can finish them all. Help anyone? Like help me in preventing myself from checking the deadly sins of productivity: Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter, blogs, 9gag, etc.

Extra Project. Another deadline to meet today is this extra project I accepted from a friend. Extra project means extra income so to say no is a no-no. I can do this for the love of moolah.

In other news, I washed my hair today and the tight curls are almost gone. Where has my money gone?

Not sure if I like it or not.

I have a bokeh vision so I wear eye glasses at home.

Bless lola, come on.

The stylist advised me to ALWAYS curl my hair using my fingers. Channeling Sisa every minute of the day.

Okay enough of this vanity. Off to work. Happy labor day.

Pineapples and Summer Sunshine

Night swimming in Tagaytay is never a good idea. Well, at least for me who has very low tolerance in cold weather. I always end up with hurting knees, aching back and running nose. Is this age dependent lol? But heat in Manila is getting pretty intense, that even myself, who is very tolerant of hot weather, can no longer handle this crazy temperature. I love summer sunshine but admittedly, the heat has already taken its toll on me - too tired from sneezing and coughing ugh. Good thing Tagaytay is just 2 hours from Manila. For those who need an instant summer hideaway after stressful days, there is this place called Pina Colina - perfect for overnight option with limited time.

“Piña Colina is a Spanish phrase that translates to “Pineapple Hill”. As the name implies, this new Tagaytay hideaway is located atop a hill largely surrounded by pineapple plantations. Apart from the lush greens, Pina Colina also features a panoramic view of Tagaytay’s landscape and its neighbouring mountains.” Aaaand it’s just 10 minutes away from the boyfriend’s house.

Pina Colina has several lodge accommodation types that you can choose from - from standard studio which is good for two persons, to log cabin which is ideal for big families and groups of 15. All units are fully furnished with beds (err of course), bathrooms with hot and cold shower (ahh hot shower is my life), dining table, television set and a fully-equipped kitchen. Yes, guests are allowed to cook hooray. We stayed in Casita for only Php 6,800 per night maximum of 10 persons.

The resort has a very relaxing atmosphere and will surely be appealing for nature lovers. It is well designed with lots of lowers, beautiful pine tress and bursting with greens. Pina Colina is a breath of fresh air.

The pool isn’t that stellar. But that’s fine because the pool temperature is too cold. Staying in for more than 30 minutes is impossible. Pool photos are not post-worthy because we look stupid with blue lips and shivers. Other amenites at the resort: big pavilion (website says it’s big but I don’t agree lol), sundeck, elevated jacuzzi (where is this??), picnic huts, game room, play ground, badminton, volleyball, massage. And of course, the one thing that cannot be compromised: wifi. Yeah.

What I love the most about Pina Colina: 24/7 trampoline. Hah! I never thought bouncing and looking stupid and almost dying could be so much fun.

The gang. My camera is still sick (lens got stuck, camera won’t switch on) so apologies for the crappy photos. Help, anyone?

Check out Pina Colina. Click here for more. Happy summer.

Strange Dreams

When I was younger, someone told me this theory about dreams and until now, I actually think that the theory is correct. My friend’s theory says that when you remember you dream, it is less likely to happen in real life. Conversely, if you can’t remember a thing about the dream, there’s a big chance that it will happen in real life. And if it does, you get that feeling of certainty that it already happened in the past but somehow unclear. Some kind of deja vu.

If this theory is legit, I am grateful for my memory for remembering my weird dreams for the past weeks. I’ve been having strange images and stories in my dreams lately. I’ve had strange dreams before too but this time, I woke up in the middle of it and found myself crying or paralyzed. Intense. So, out of curiosity, I tried this dream interpretation online. You just type in keywords and interpretation of dreams will appear on your screen in an instant. I had three strange dreams and I had them interpreted on this site. Here goes the interpretation:

Dream #1: I dreamt that I accidentally killed Vodka, our baby Shih Tzu. I was carrying him and he jumped out and fell down the stairs. He died right away and my parents and sisters got mad at me. I woke up in the middle of it and I found myself crying.

Interpretation: If the dog is dead or dying, then it means a loss of a good friend or a deterioration of your instincts. Also consider common notions associated with the word dog, such as loyalty (“man’s best friend”) and to be “treated like a dog”.

My interpretation: I guess Vodka hates me because I like teasing him with fake whiny fart noise and he hates it. Hah.

Dream #2: This is the strangest dream of all. I dreamt that a giant rat was kissing me and I couldn’t move at all because I was paralyzed. I was calling my mother for help but she was just watching the whole drama. The giant mouse rat as big as Vodka. Eeekkk. I woke up, turned the lights on, browsed Twitter and went back to sleep lol.

Interpretation: (This is the closest thing that I got.)To dream that you or someone is eating a mouse indicates that there is something nagging at your conscience. You need to get it off your chest.

(Or may be this one.) To see a mouse in your dream indicates fear, meekness, insignificance and a lack of assertiveness. You are experiencing feelings of inadequacy and fears that you are not measuring up. The dream may be telling you that you are spending too much time hiding in the shadows of someone else. Alternatively, a mouse symbolizes minor irritations and annoyances. Perhaps you are letting petty problems or insignificant issues eat away at you. The dream may also be a pun on a computer mouse and your connection to work or to the virtual world. (Okay the last sentence works for me thank you.)

My interpretation: Err I don’t know. Maybe I just need to clean my room. Heh.

Dream #3: This just happened last Thursday. I dreamt that the boyfriend got arrested and he had to stay in the prison for two years. And because of that, he told me that we could not marry anymore. So I cried buckets and buckets of tears. Again, I woke up crying. It was a very exhausting dream.

Interpretation: To see someone else in prison in your dream signifies an aspect of yourself that you are unable to express freely.

My interpretation: Maybe I was just too excited for the weekend to see him hihi.

I wish these strange nights would stop because it ain’t fun. What are the causes of weird dreams? Stress, alcohol, too much Facebook and Twitter? Truth be told, I just don’t want another giant mouse french kissing me in my future dreams. Ugh.

Thrift Thursday

Am I the only who feels this last week of April doesn’t feel right? Or am I just too excited for the extra day off next week? I feel like I’m stuck at work forever and it’s dragging on especially today. No, I am not PMS-ing. It would really be nice if it’s over already. Ugh.

One of my 100 ways to cheer myself up is to go thrift shopping. And so I did. I’ve been eyeing on this new thrift shop I spotted a month ago but I just never had the time to visit. It’s along Amorsolo Street in Makati, near Goldilocks (I have no send of direction so don’t trust me. I am not even sure if Amorsolo is a street name in Makati lol.) After a stressful day at work, I decided to drop by and I was delighted to know that they are on sale. But luck is just not on my side at times. I rummaged through the dress rack for about 20 minutes and I only found two decent items.

Off-white drawstring skirt with tiered design. Soft breezy cotton that is perfect for summer. (There’s a hole at the bottom part of the skirt, though. I need an expert advise from someone who knows how to repair this kind of sadness.)

This silver layered tulle looks nice but I have no choice but to put it inside my Project Rummage box. The pretty little thing is too big for me. So if you think it’s cute, you might want to bookmark Project Rummage now.

Question. For frugal shoppers out there, where do you usually thrift shop? Let me know and get a chance to win a brand new Samsung Galaxy tab. Loljk.

Project Rummage: Illusions of Confusions

Truth be told, I find it easier to sell clothes than hotel rooms. If I had the chance to quit my job so I can spend 8 or more hours in Project Rummage, I would do it in a heartbeat (well, provided that I’d still get the same income heh).

Anyway, I went to work this morning with only four hours of sleep because I stayed up late for Project Rummage’s latest thrift collection (And because of sleep deprivation, my eyes are twitching since this morning and it’s quite disturbing. What to do? Pee on them?). We got Zara, Kamiseta, Bayo, Topshop and a lot more. And today, my items are almost sold out. I am truly overwhelmed by how awesome you frugal shoppers are! Here are some of the photos if you’re interested.

Why the title? Because my mind is confused with a lot of things right now. I’d love to tell you about it but I don’t want to rant anymore yadda yadda yadda.

Anyway, here you go:

I actually want this for myself but it’s too small. :/

Just so you know, we are on our 50th month of togetherness today hihi. We celebrated by getting a massage, chugging down two bottles of beer at 10 in the morning, eating lunch in an unfamiliar restaurant and cuddling inside the bus lol. Here’s a photo of us 50 months ago, circa 2008.

50 things I love about us:

1. We both love dogs.

2. You’re good at cooking and I am so good at washing the dishes. Skillz.

3. The story of our first kiss.

4. The who-made-the-first-move story. (It’s him. Trust me.)

5. That lovely feeling whenever we fall asleep in a cuddle.

6. Our massage sessions after stressful days at work.

7. Forever holding hands while walking.

8. Our mutual love for Jollibee Chicken Joy.

9. Our cuddles and more cuddles inside the bus whenever we head back home.

10. Watching TV together with hugs and kisses in between.

11. Talks about our future.

12. Our love-hate relationship with Mo Twister. I love him. You hate him. (Fine, love is a big word).

13. Our long naps inside MRT.

14. Our love for junk food and our promise to ourselves that we’ll always have Lays, Cheetos, Ridges and Pringles in our future home.

15. Our mutual love for Cornetto.

16. We enjoy the outdoors. We love the sun.

17. And we have the same love for home dates, too. DVD marathon and the likes.

18. We love each other’s love handles.

19. You have a good sense of direction and I have none lol.

20. We both love taking photos.

21. Our hello and goodbye kisses.

22. Our little finger-boxing game.

23. We play Scrabble and we take it seriously. Hah!

24. Our betting game in which I’m always the loser.

25. We love traveling. We enjoy adventures and misadventures.

26. You teasing me about my flat nose and me teasing you about your not-so-flat belly. Hah!

27. We share the same dream.

28. Our families.

29. Our trust for each other.

30. Conversations over coke float and salty fries.

31. The way you tickle me even if I don’t like it.

32. That wonderful feeling whenever we’re together. Ahh nothing compares.

33. We are both practical.

34. Our #366twitpic.

35. Flirting. Enough said.

36. You are always there to help me out when I can barely finish one cup of rice.

37. How a day at the beach always turns out be so perfect when we are together.

38. Alcohol. And the funny stories it brings.

39. Our adorable beach photos.

40. Our reward system whenever we are arguing on something.

41. We love being playful like playful kittens.

42. We all have our flaws and we just laugh about it.

43. I love how we love to try new things.

44. We rarely fight.

45. How we constantly pick on each other but never take it seriously.

46. Our circle of friends.

47. Our PDAs. Hihi.

48. You have great sense of humor and I laugh at almost everything.

49. We are friends. We are lovers.

50. You love me and I love you. Just because.

And that’s what I love about us. It’s the little things and the big things combined. It’s how well we compliment each other in every way. It’s the things we love and hate all at the same time. It’s just you and me. :)
