My embarrassing “Books I’ve read in 2011” list

I read on Twitter that DepEd has declared November 2011 as National Reading Month. Hence, I’d like to share with you my embarrassing list of books that I have read this year. Just so you know, I try really hard to read books because I know it’s a good thing to do but there are just too many distractions surrounding me - Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr. Lols. Shame on me but I’m posting this list, anyway.

  • Diary of a Wimpy Kid except the last twelve pages
  • First eight pages of Ang Mga Kaibigan ni Mama Susan
  • First few pages of Norwegian Wood
  • First few pages of The Complete Calvin and Hobbes Collection
  • First two chapters of Hunger Games
  • Seven essays of The Best of This is a Crazy Planets which I pick randomly
  • The Perks of Being A Wallflower

Yes, I have a bad habit of reading only the first few pages of a book. I have short attention span. Please don’t judge me.

At the moment, I’m reading ‘Looking for Alaska’ and I do hope that I get to finish this book ‘cause my sisters say it’s really good. Anyway, here’s Alaska’s advise on reading books: “There is s much to do: cigarettes to smoke, sex to have, swing to swing on. I’ll have more time on reading when I’m old and boring.” Heh, just kidding.
