I hate the inappropriate use of these words:

thing | n. an object that one need not, cannot, or does not wish to give a specific name to; an action, activity, concept or thought

Example: Have you watched this Inception thing?

basically | adv. fundamentally; used to summarize the most important aspects of a situation

Example: Let me introduce myself.  I am Peter Ocampo. Basically, I work in an advertising company as a marketing executive. Basically, I develop marketing campaigns that promote our product and services. Well, basically, I’ve been wroking with blah blah blah and more basically…

much | det. adv. pron. a large amount; to a great extent; a great deal
