Someone said that it’s the good girls who keep diaries because the bad girls never have the time. So this post only goes to show that I am a good girl gone better-er-er-er! Hah.

I started keeping a diary/journal/planner (please encircle the correct answer) back in highschool when I had a crush on every boy. Everytime they would talk to me, I’d write it down. Every page had hearts and happy faces on it. And please don’t judge me if you see some candy wrappers, tickets and whatnots stapled on it. These, my friends, are memories of my old highschool crushes. LOL. But it’s been a while since I opened my highschool diaries. I’m not even sure if I would want to read them again just for fun. It gives me goosebumps. The truth is I secretly want to burn all of them. Heh.

The best diary I had was in 2008. It was the best year of my life - I got drunk, got drunk ’til 6 in the morning, tried smoking, quitted smoking, nursed hangover during class, nursed hangover during exams, failed my exams, passed my exams, went partying, met different people, made lots of friends, slept over at a friend’s house, slept late, forgot to sleep, garduated from college with flying colors, and (ten ten tenen!) FELL IN LOVE with flying hearts and butterflies. Teehee. Whenever I’m down, I just flip the pages of that diary and browse my doodles, blabbers and rants. It keeps me sane. 

This year I got myself a brand spanking new planner for the spanking new year of 2011! I have searched the perfect planner and I’ve decided to get this for myself, The “Relaks Puso Lang Yan, Malayo sa Bituka” Planner 2011 by Witty Will Save The World. 

Witty Will Save The World makes good planners. Last year, I also bought my 2010 planner from them called, “I-was-supposed-to-get-that-coffeehouse-planner-but-I-got-fat/broke-on-the-10th-frappe” Planner. Riiiight? Haha. This year, they take on the issues of a bitter heart as their theme. It’s really hilarious. Satire is their comedy.

Though I find it playful and amusing, I don’t think I can relate to all that stuff. The planner is perfect for those who are bitter about love. And I’ve never had that taste of bitter love. Lucky me.

Included in the list of holidays are: “Araw ng Kamartiran” on April 10, “Landiin mo ang Katabi Mo Days” on March 9 and May 19, “I’m So Stupid to Make the Biggest Mistake of Falling in Love with My Best Friend Week” from July 1 to 7, “Moving On Thursday” on August 4, “Tiis Day” on October 26, “All Sawi’s Day” on November 3 and “Remember You Ex Day (Remember Lang)” on December 21. Plus maximum 5 days of Heartache Leave! LOL to death. Haha.

This planner also has funny footnotes and reminders about anything and everything about love. For example, written on the page of January 8, 2011: “(1) Tom Hansen meets Summer Finn. Simula ng 500 days countdown. (2) 2006: Ni-release and huling Piolo-Juday loveteam movie. Don’t Give Up On Us, directed by Joce Bernal. hindi pa ito muling nasundan.”

And this is my favorite! Like those expensive coffehouse planners, this has free coupons and stubs too.

So there. Serirous LOL to death at this planner. Now, I’m getting it ready for 2011 by jotting down birthdays, important dates and events of my life.That’s how I work it.

To all New Year babies out there, please keep a diary when you grow up. It is fun to be able to read back on things you did for the past year and remember the fun  and not-so-fun stuff all over again. Be good girls and keep a diary! And for the boys, uhm, no, it is so gay.
